Giselle Sheer Bloch is the owner and operator of Sheer Energy: Total Fitness. She is a graduate of the University of Toronto with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biochemistry and Microbiology. She is certified through Certified Professional Trainers Network as a Certified Personal Trainer. She is also a Certified Life Coach with the Certified Coaches Federation, as well as a Certified Tabata Instructor. Her educational background has allowed her to gain a detailed knowledge of the human body and its musculoskeletal anatomy, which she passes on to her clients.
Giselle has experience working with clients both female and male, from teenagers to seniors. She has a background in running and cardiovascular fitness, which she uses to help educate her clients.
Giselle specializes in bodyweight training, in addition to core training using the stability ball and resistance bands to create unique programs for her clients to improve their posture, stength, endurance and overall health and fitness levels.
Giselle believes in training muscles used in everyday activities, such as sitting, standing, climbing stairs, bending, twisting, pushing and pulling; in other words, functional movements. Functional training also trains the smaller stabilizing muscles that support the major muscles in movement.
Much of today’s research has shown that excess body fat can increase the likelihood of medical conditions such as heart disease, stroke, diabetes, high blood pressure. Reducing body fat and increasing lean body mass is one of the most important steps to a healthy lifestyle.
